Its safe to say a few months ago, no one on our team knew that we would be going to Uganda in June. We may have all had different plans, but The Lord knew where He wanted each of us this summer, and that was to be serving in Uganda.
Getting the chance to serve in Uganda is such a blessing to each and every one of us. We have members on our team that have wanted to go to Uganda for over 10 years, members that have been before and only dreamed of going back, and even members that have never been on an airplane before! It has become very clear from the beginning that although we all have different stories, we have two major things in common: we love Jesus and have a great passion for the people of Uganda.
As each day passes, we grow more and more excited by this opportunity and more and more grateful to the people that are making it happen. Right now we are in the middle of raising funds for our trip, and are continually blessed with each person that contributes, not only financially, but also with their prayers. Lots of prayer is needed, not just for us, but for the people of Uganda as well. We get the opportunity to go over there and serve; however, our prayer for these beloved people should not occur only during the time of our trip. We have the opportunity to begin blessing the Ugandan people now through our prayers, and what a joy that is! We encourage you to be praying now as well, since so much can be done through prayer.
